The 27th Annual Long Grove Strawberry Festival will be held for three days, Friday through Sunday, June 26 – 28, 2009. The Strawberry Fest is called the granddaddy of the signature festivals of historic Long Grove, a popular day trip located in the 
northwest suburbs of Chicago. Strawberry Fest is considered one of the premier outdoor festivals in the Chicagoland area.
Strawberry Fest offers the berry flavored pleasures of summer, with strawberry filled and inspired treats. People of all ages flock to the dipping stations for the delicious chocolate covered strawberries to indulge in, Enjoy the refreshing fruit smoothes, ice cream strawberry donuts, baked goods and strawberries fresh from the farm.
Strawberry Fest offers free entertainment for kids and adults throughout the village. Family activities include kiddie rides, face painting, outdoor act ivies and tent full of family and education oriented products. Musical entertainment will be heard around the village. Admission to the festival is free.
Long Grove is a historic village in the northern suburbs of Chicago, near Route 53 and 83, North of Lake Cook Road.
