Starry Night in soap!
Most people will agree with me that bath time is one of the best parts of the day, although it’s somewhat lost its playfulness since the days of our childhood. If you want to add some fun back into your daily routine with an eco-friendly soap, I highly recommend trying some of the products offered by Dugshop on Etsy.com. {See all of my photos}
I had the pleasure of trying a variety of products from the Dugshop line and have to say that I’m quite impressed. Dugshop products are vegetarian or vegan-friendly, proving you needn’t harm animals to create skin-softening soaps, balms and dog products!
One of my favorite things about the Dugshop soaps is that they have incredible scents that don’t smell like perfumes. Ingredients are expertly combined to create fragrances that come from nature, not a laboratory.
The soaps are not only sudsy with great smell, but they are incredibly cute. No matter who your recipient is, you are bound to get an ooh-and-aah for these little works of glycerin art!
The Art Attack! Starry Night Soap is perfect for the culture buff in your life. This soap reproduction of Van Gogh’s famous painting is almost too pretty to use. In fact, the stars in the soap glow in the dark, so you may want to enjoy it a while.
Shopping for a bachelorette or a single girlfriend? She’ll love the muscular man {in shimmering gold dust} on the lavender-scented Girlie Man enriched soap. This multi-tasking bar works great for shaving and getting clean.
There’s plenty of stuff for the guys too. Your bachelor or buddy will like the Tubflap Girl soap, a black soap with a shimmery silver Mudflap Girl on it. Not only is it completely adorable, it smells like Old Spice--with natural scents of tobacco and vanilla.
Little {and big} boys will like the Pirate Baaarrr soap. It will look just like a little pirate’s flag in the bathtub, with a skull and crossbones on a black bar of soap. It has a bay rum scent thatt’s mellow enough for Mom to use too.
Peace, love and happiness--pretty much everyone wants that, right? As will be the case with this soap set, that will please anyone on your gift list. A peace sign soap smells like yummy cucumber, the heart has a soft rose scent and the smiley-face has a grapefruit scent. This affordable set is a nice hostess gift if you’re visiting--or welcoming a weekend guest.
The ladies of Dugshop want the world to be able to open a can of Whoop Ass. I keep their hilariously named hand balm near my kitchen sink and put a little on before washing the dishes to keep my hands moisturized and stink-free inside my rubber gloves. This lemon-sage scented balm smells like citronella, only softer, and is melt-resistant so you can put in your bag with confidence!
Tango and Lua got to join in the fun with Dugshop too. The Lucky Puppy gift sent that came for them was full of goodies they really enjoyed. Best of all, everything I need to groom my dogs fits handily inside the paw-print Chinese takeout container. The included natural-bristle brush is great for scrubbing your pups, or if you like, keep it next to your sink--it makes a perfect nail brush.
I was a little apprehensive about using a bar of soap to was the dogs, but am pleased to report the round Happy Fluff Pup Wash soap gets super sudsy, and left the dogs smelling lemony-fresh for a couple of days {typically their pet store shampoo scent doesn‘t really linger past their post-bath blow-dry}. The soap is enriched with essential oils and natural ingredients to be safe for sensitive skin and naturally flea-repellant. It has a big paw print on it and little bumps to scrub and massage your pup.
The Kismet Perfume is a spray bottle of the same sensitive-skin safe ingredients in the soap, plus sweet orange essential oil and vanilla extract to leave your dog smelling fresh and flea-free between baths.
Dog breath be gone! Kiss Me Dog Breath Destroyer is an all-natural spray for your dog with parsley, peppermint and spearmint. A squirt of this in your dog’s mouth and it will smell like he just chewed a breath mint.
Little paw pads tend to get rough and dry from nature’s elements when our four legged friends go for walks outside. The Paws that Refreshes is a convenient oval-shaped stick that gets my little guys’ paws moisturized in one swipe.
