Publicist to Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint said he had a "mild bout" of swine flu but "has now recovered and is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members" for the premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Grint's publicist also said, "Other scenes were shot in his absence which did not require his involvement and thus filming was not disrupted." She added that Grint’s doctor had confirmed that he had recovered from the H1N1 swine flu, and is no longer in danger of infecting others.
Hopefully 20-year-old Grint caught the swine flu before he and Emma Watson filmed their first kiss for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Grint has said the kiss was "a bit like kissing my sister. We were determined to get it right the first time, but our first try was a disaster because we both felt so self-conscious and we couldn't stop laughing."
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince hits U.S. theaters on July 15.
