So you are planning this big social event. You have a venue, live music and food coming in. The only thing left to do is publicize it. But how do you do that? You would think that in our little tech world we would be able to do it in a simple fashion. Well, now you can. Zappn was created with your social get together in mind. Founded by Chase Hawkins and Brock Masterson of Kansas City, MO , Zappn makes your event even more social.
Zappn allows you to Create an event and issue invitations.
Manage the event prior too and after.
You and participants can share comments, video and pictures during the event.
and even if you can't physically go to the event you can still participate in it online.
So lets think of Zappn as Twitter + Twitpic or better yet Brightkite. With Brightkite you are checked into a location, and you share comments and photo's from that place. The same can be done with Twitter and Twitpic, minus the checking in. So with Zappn, you can attend, maybe attend or miss, But either way you can participate. You participate before, during and after.
But you may ask, "What if I don't want to plan an event"? Well that's ok, are you attending a concert soon? Set that up as an event if it is not already and get people to join it. Now you have an organized place of everyone at the concert posting their pictures, videos and comments. What about the after party? Well now you can organize with fellow Zappn users during your event and create a new event for afterwards for every one to hang out and grab a few drinks. The possibilities are endless. Even if you don't want to schedule or set any thing up, you can get an account and keep an eye on things going on in your city. Find out about tweet-ups, Art Gallery Shows and much more.
