Religious Science Church of Fullerton

Where do you want to tie the knot?

Would a church designed in the Gothic revival style do the trick? Maybe a stunning church built in the 1920s with cherry wood pews and ornate designs throughout the church? Would an outdoor wedding suit your needs? How about a wedding at a mansion? Maybe a wedding in the park or at the plaza area by Fullerton Museum?

If you can dream a great dream for your wedding day, it can probably be a reality in Fullerton, CA. All of the wedding scenarios mentioned above are possible-and doable. Read below to find out about these unique locations!

  • First Church of Religious Science: Located at the corner of Pomona and Amerige Avenues, this almost 100-year-old church's history is as rich and vivid as the architecture and ornate features of the building itself. Designed in the Gothic Revival architectural style, the church was almost destroyed during the Whittier earthquake of 1987 but was restored to magnificence after it was condemned for two years. Everything in the church is original, even the beautiful stained glass windows, which remarkably survived the earthquake. The church has stadium-like seating where all the seats are good seats. Maximum seating is at 250 persons, which includes the ornate balcony. Prices are flexible, according to the church. All faiths are welcomed also and ceremonies other than weddings can also be performed inside the church.
  • First United Methodist Church of Fullerton: Located at the corner of Pomona and Commonwealth Avenues, this stunning masterpiece of a church is 80 years old and also has a rich history. Originally located across the street at the now First Church of Religious Science, the congregation sold the building to build a bigger church across the street. Magnificent stained glass windows line the church and has a grand, circular stained glass window in its balcony that is visible to all at the church's entrance on Commonwealth Avenue. Cherry wood pews with ornate carvings give the church a sacred feeling, along with an intricately designed front altar with a stained glass window that lights up. Magnificent vintage lighting illuminates the church. Maximum seating is at 515, which includes seating in the equally ornate balcony. Total cost for a wedding is $1,500. Pre-marital counseling is also required if the senior pastor is performing the ceremony.
  • Fullerton Arboretum: Located on the campus of California State University, Fullerton, this idyllic setting will provide unmatched tranquility for your special day. Couples can get married at three distinct locations in the arboretum, including a Wisteria covered arbor and by a gorgeous lake. Brides can get ready for their special day in Heritage House, a gorgeous restored old home that now sits on the arboetum grounds (the use of the home for the bride is also included in the basic wedding fees). Total fees for a wedding only is $1,250. Warning: Since the arboretum is located next door to the baseball field, speak to the wedding staff about appropriate times to hold your ceremony so as to preserve the tranquility of your day. The university is noted for their baseball program, so playoff games could extend long past the end of baseball season.
