Only a few weeks after publically announcing divorce plans Jon and Kate Gosselin reunited to spend the forth of July with their eight children. Kate Gosselin in a previous episode of TLC’s “Jon and Kate Plus 8”, stated "I absolutely cannot imagine not spending every single holiday with my kids. I don't care what it takes. I will be there."

While Kate Gosselin’s statement is spirited she may not have a choice once their impending divorce and custody over the children is finalized.

The "Jon and Kate Plus 8" stars kept their promise to each other and the kids to "focus solely on the needs of our family" and spent the day playing volleyball, picking blueberries and lighting sparklers at their Wernersville, Pa. home. TLC cameras were reportedly not filming this holiday.

The day was reportedly planned weeks ago by Jon and Kate, as the reality stars agreed to set aside their discord for the holiday.

This July fourth was very different from past forth’s spent going to a local parade in Jon’s hometown and going on vacation to North Carolina for a couple of weeks. Jon and Kate laid low this year seemingly due to the quantity of paparazzi that would be following the family if the had ventured out.
