It is summer and people will travel away from their lovely 24 hour fitness. So what do you do Sioux Falls? Thats right read tips on examiner.com!

When you are on the road you need to have a plan-of-action for your fitness. If you are inventive then workouts will come easy no matter where you are. Here are a few objects that are usable for fitness outisde!

  • Tree (pull-ups!)
  • Bench, chair, or picnic table (good for dips or decline push-ups)
  • Rock/boulder (can be used to lift and push; very versatile)
  • Vines (If you happen to be somewhere with vines? Why not... be careful)
  • Water (swimming workouts, fill buckets and lift)
  • Elephants! (please do not attempt to lift an elephant; this is a joke)

Other than the random nature workout. Try to plan your trip with some gyms in the area. Call ahead and try to grab some free trial passes or see if your gym membership in Sioux Falls can be used at other locations.

If nothing else here is an easy “hotel workout” you can print and take with you!

50 push ups

30 sec rest

20 dips (on chair)

30 sec rest

100 squats

30 sec rest

25 push ups

10 dips (on chair)

30 sec rest

50 lunges

30 sec rest

20 incline push ups (feet on chair- hands on floor)

30 sec rest

10 lunges

10 dips (on chair)

10 squats

10 push ups

Add the plank to your routine!

The plank is pictured below. All you have to do is get into a push up position with your elbows touching the ground. Hold this position for one minute with a flat back!
