Top 10 Relationship Astrology Books

Rather than leave the interpretation of your astrology chart in the hands of someone else (professional or amateur), wouldn’t it be better if you could understand and interpret your own, your partners, family members and friends astrological charts?

Though one of the most common question asked of astrologers are about relationships, their future and compatibility, astrology really doesn’t judge a relationship’s value in the same way society might view its viability.

An astrologer will look at your chart and see how your unique design functions, what your specific needs are and what will activate your chart and fulfill its purpose. A relationship’s compatibility or not isn’t the only factor taken into consideration, but rather looking closely at how any particular relationship might activate either permanently or temporarily the seeds of experience waiting to unfold in your specific design.

The following are the top 10 astrology books for interpreting relationships:

1. Relationship Analysis (Astrology: a Language of Life)

By Robert P. Blaschke
"If astrologers were to create a library of modern classics, of books that had distilled the best of the practical knowledge from the renaissance of astrology in our lifetime and raised it further in the process - a set of instruction books to pass on to future generations - then Robert Blaschke's Relationship Analysis should be included. Every now and again an astrology book appears that deserves a place within this metaphorical bookcase and in my view this is one of the best.”

2. Skymates: Love, Sex and Evolutionary Astrology

By Jodie Forrest and Steven Forrest
“No "doomed relationship" clutters the pages of SKYMATES. In this completely new, positive, and radically expanded edition of their classic book on the astrology of relationships, Steven and Jodie Forrest emphasize freedom of choice, honest communication, and mutual psychological understanding as the keys to satisfying, lasting intimacy.”

3. Skymates, Vol. II: The Composite Chart

By Jodie Forrest and Steven Forrest
“What's a composite chart? It's a chart of the relationship itself, derived from the charts of the couple. It shows what the relationship needs in order to grow, learn and thrive, just as an individual person's chart shows what that person needs.”

4. Planets in Synastry: Astrological Patterns of Relationships

By E. W. Neville
“At its simplest level, synastry is the examination of the interaction of two astrological charts. Since questions about the relationship are perhaps the ones most often asked of the astrologer, the art of synastry is a basic skill to practice astrology at any but the most casual level. Planets in Synastry takes the reader through the steps of this complex process. Individual phases of a relationship are set out and a method for analysis of each phase is described. It focuses not only on the analysis of synastry, but on the translation of the insights into real life applications."

5. Planets in Composite: Analyzing Human Relationships

By Robert Hand
“Planets in Composite contains an explanation of the composite technique, chapters on casting and reading the horoscope, five case studies illustrating the use and validity of composite charts, plus twelve chapters of delineations. There are delineations for all the planets (including Sun and Moon) in each house and every major aspect (conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition). There are 374 interpretations in all, 300 words each, thumb-indexed for easy reference and 41 delineations of the Moon's nodes as well.”

6. Relationships & Life Cycles: Astrological Patterns of Personal Experience

By Stephen Arroyo
“Relationships & Life Cycles has sold over 80,000 copies worldwide and is internationally recognized as a breakthrough book that readers find especially easy to use, even if they know only the basics of astrology. This second edition now includes a comprehensive index to make this wealth of insight even more accessible. The spontaneous quality of this book makes it especially valuable and unique, since it includes numerous insights and "tidbits" of information not found in more conventional presentations.”

7. Composite Charts; The Astrology of Relationships

By John Townley
“In 1973, John Townley solved the problem once and for all when he introduced the method known as the composite chart. Here was the key that unlocked the secret essence of any relationship. Now, after more than 25 years of further research and experience, he returns to this remarkable system, with Composite Charts. This book is now the definitive book on astrological relationships.”

8. Astrology of Human Relationship

By Frances Sakoian and Louis Acker
“Unfortunately hard to find but fantastic resource for the beginner.”

9. Karmic Relationships

By Martin Schulman
“Easy to read reference with psychologically and spiritually revealing insights into the deeper meanings of the aspects between two people and exposes how males and females are actually meeting themselves within each relationship. Explains how past life influences attract the people we meet and interact with.”

10. Relating: An Astrological Guide to Living with Others on a Small Planet

By Liz Greene
“Dr. Greene uses basic astrological concepts symbolically and practically, in a framework of Jungian psychology, to show the ways in which people relate to one another on both concious and unconscious levels. The book is an original, advanced, information-packed, provocative and well-organized work.”
