Memorial Day is on May 25 this year. Many people refer to that as the official start of the summer season. As you undoubtedly know, Memorial Day is also a time of remembrance of our fallen soldiers. Take some time during the week or while you're heading to that family BBQ to talk to your kiddo about the meaning of the day. If you're looking for ways to have some educational fun, try one of these site for printable coloring pages!

Apples 4 the teacher - This site has several great coloring pages. It might seem a bit odd to let your child color a cemetary, but you just need to print out the ones you think will best supplement your own explanation of the day.

Kid Printables - This has some good coloring pages, like the soldier on the horse. The page with a woman at a grave... well, probably not suited for little children.

Enchanted Learning - Print out a picture of the American flag for kids to color. Talk about the history of the flag!

Fun 4 the children - A wide selection of coloring pages to print out and enjoy!

VA Kids Coloring Book - Ok, not something you can print out but still pretty cool! Your kids can color this book online. It offers lots of pictures that kids can 'paint' by using the mouse. Lots of fun!
