Megan Fox

A war of words has erupted between “Transformers” star Megan Fox and the movie’s director Michael Bay. Sort of.

Fox seems to be perturbed that Michael Bay focused a lot of his attention on the special effects in the wildly successful “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and not on the acting, while Bay seems to be laughing in her face over the gripe.

Fox told Entertainment Weekly: "I mean, I can't s--- on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a--. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."

Hypothetical question: If someone was interviewing you about your job, which you knew you did poorly, wouldn’t you just try to pass the buck? That’s what it seems like Fox is doing. Does she really need Michael Bay to tell her how to react to giant robots hell-bent on destroying the Earth? Does she need him to tell her how to swoon over Shia LaBeouf? Did she go into this project thinking that “Transformers 2” was going to be an Oscar-worthy effort?

If she did, she’s dumber than all the critics who panned the movie for the same reason. It’s “Transformers 2” guys. Why would you even bother reviewing it?

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Michael Bay has dismissed Fox’s comments, saying “She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.”

Bay also started that he “100 percent disagrees” with Fox’s statements.

“Nick Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in ‘Armageddon.’ Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did 'Transformers' -- and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from ‘Bad Boys’,” he noted.

He is right about Shia LeBeouf. I’m calling shenanigans on the rest of the statement.

For those unaware, Nicholas Cage’s real name is Nicholas Coppola. Yes, he’s from that Coppola family and he had quite a nice career going for him before he did “The Rock.” Before Ben Affleck did “Armageddon,” he won an the Best Screenplay Oscar with Matt Damon for “Good Will Hunting,” a movie which he also co-starred in. And Will Smith and Martin Lawrence both had very successful television shows long before they met up with Michael Bay.

What Bay should have said is “I made Shia LaBeouf who he is. I also got some other people started in action movies. They may have just been good actors, but I’m a self-indulgent jack--- who will take credit for their hard work.”

So, which one of these two buffoons is the bigger idiot? You be the judge.
