Before you snuggle under the covers and wait for Santa to shimmy down your chimney and put gifts under the tree, head over to Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ for their eleventh annual Christmas Eve Jazz Vespers and Carol Sing-Along with Bobby Felder & Friends.
Felder has the dual honor of being a local legend and an internationally renowned musician who has entertained crowds around the world for over fifty years. He has played at a variety of venues, ranging from small clubs to Presidential Inaugural Balls. Felder's friends include Jacques 'Saxman' Johnson, Davey Yarborough (sax), Michael Thomas (trumpet) and vocalist Esther Williams.
When Bobby Felder & Friends get together, the magic between the musicians is electrifying and mesmerizing. The musicians play classic Christmas songs with their own jazzy spin, swing, and style. Often times their Christmas Eve set ends with audience members on their feet, clapping their hands, and singing before the official Sing-Along begins.
The show is on Dec. 24 and begins at 7 p.m. The show is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served after the program. Bobby Felder & Friends jam like no other, so enjoy one last, unique set of Christmas songs and carols before you open those presents.
