Not quite sure what to make of this.

You'll remember the brouhaha a few weeks ago caused by a Facebook group that advocated for the boycott of Rockstar energy drink by the LGBT community. The premise was that Rockstar was co-founded by our favorite radio liar, Michael Savage, and his son, Russell Goldencloud Weiner.

The group was joined by thousands of people and spawned coverage in a number of blogs. All of which repeated the claim that Savage co-founded the company with his son.

Russell immediately sicced his attorneys on the sites, telling them that connecting Rockstar to the hateful diatribes of Michael Savage damaged the company and constituted defamation. Many of them published retractions.

Now it seems that Russell has gone on the offensive. He has put up a site, TheTruthAboutRockstar.com, (the name of which is suspiciously similar to an anti-Rockstar site called TheTruthAboutRockstarEnergyDrink.com) in which he tries to convince us that Rockstar is a good corporate citizen and harbors no ill will toward any group.

Interestingly, Weiner talks about the types of charities his company contributes to: "Families of Fallen Heroes, Disabled Veterans, AIDS Services and Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation," but doesn't mention any of the charities by name. Therefore, no one can check the veracity of his statements.

The nut doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

But here's what I wonder: Isn't Weiner, in publishing this "We're not Savage" site, further dissing his dad? After all, he does give his family (mom and dad) some credit in developing the product on this new site (although not as much as I recall from the original Rockstar site from a few years' back). And he and his father did co-found the Paul Revere Society, dedicated to preserving America's "borders, language and culture."

Must make for some pretty interesting conversation around the pool, or on the boat, or wherever those Weiners congregate,

Keep the faith.
