Marduk's vocalist apparently had visa problems at the last minute and couldn't make it to Baltimore. Given the stellar roster of bands, this was hardly a fatal wound for the festival, but it was something of a let-down. Many of the European acts reported unfriendly treatment from customs officials at US airports, so if you want to see more of your favorite foreign acts in the years to come then pay attention to who you vote for.
