Magazine pays $500,000 for photo of dying Michael Jackson for cover - Caution: Photo included

OK! Magazine has issued a commemorative issue of their magazine in memory of Michael Jackson. What has so many people upset is the picture they decided to use on the cover of the issue. While many other magazines are running commemorative issues, they show Michael in his prime on their covers.

There is outrage spreading over the picture that appears on the OK! cover. And, OK! reportedly paid $500,000 for the photo. The cover, which is shown below, depicts Michael either in his last moments or after he had died. According to the report, "OK! claims that the photo, which is similar to an image that has appeared on Entertainment Tonight’s Web site, is the last one showing Jackson alive. It plans to use the image in a number of its international editions."

For those wishing to see the cover, scroll down. Those who would rather not, shouldn't.

The photo does raise alot of controvesy but out of respect for his family, friends and especially his mother I believe OK magazine over stepped their boundaries. If the editors of the magazine where to place themselves in the situation I can guarantee they wouldn't want a better of their deceased relative plastered across the world. But people are so greedy after money they don't consider morals, tack, or the feelings of others. May God Bless those who don't know any better and even those who do. Mike is gone now and his memory can live on just without the horrific image of him on his last leg. That's not how people knew Mike and it shouldn't be the way is remembered.
Much Love and May God Bless

I am only repeating speculation, but the paramedics that arrived at the house wanted to call Michael at the scene. This would mean the picture of Michael is after his death. The people who paid for this picture will meet their makers one day, too. In heaven, I'm sure Michael will forgive them though they are too low for his forgiveness.

I think that this photo is not that controversial... Maybe some people haven't watched on TV or on the Internet that the photo has been since the day he passed away...
Anyway, nobody will remember neither those images nor controversial life, we'll just remember his great hits and excellent lyrics, 'cause he was the king of pop, but now he is the king of our hearts.

People should accept death and stop criticizing it. Life is life.

I think the photo is completely out of line. Havimg said that I am more likely to remember him for a 20 million payoff to the family of a child he molested than his contributions to pop music. In fairness I believe he was mentally ill but pedophilia is hard to make excuses for, or at least it should be.

He was already dead at home. What a bunch of losers to put this picture on their cover. We should boycott this stupid magazine.

The photo is wrong and the person that sold this should be ashamed, but he has looked so bad for years and I don't think he never new who he wanted to be. I've felt sorry for him for a long time and was so happy to hear that he didn't leave anything to his farther, I blame his farther for some of the reason Micheal was the way he was. Hopefully Micheal is happy where he is today. I love his music and thats what I will remember for.

Shame on this magazine... He has children and family. How could you put this on the cover. You coulndnt let him have peace when he was here on earth and now you going to continue the horrifice behavior after his passing. Shame on all who try to profit from his death. You know who you are. Let him rest in peace. Do you not have a heart how would you like to see your mother or father or close loved one exploited in this manner. Please no one buy this. Shame on you.... when did you stop having a heart

i think this became very out of line. OK! went way too far, we should remember his face on stage or on t.v. or on an album not this face of him dyeing. they should of just let him r.i.p. we all miss himm and this was tragic for many of us. imagine his family and friends seeing this picture, it would break them down. and at first i didnt give michael a chance and didnt care when he died now i very much like his music and i cried after i watched interviews and his E true hollywood story last night. may you r.i.p "king of pop"~michael jackson<33

Freaking epic, its amazing how in the mayhem a guy got a shot of that.

Also, i don't know why all you guys care so much. Weve seen people splattered all over pavements we dont know and never care, now all of a sudden since its a celebrity it matters? What has he done to deserve such respect? Maybe we all just agree that the little kids just isn't quite going far enough in society these days, they will have to step it up a notch! now, instead maybe they will have mega-molestation. Its twice as extreme, but that cannot keep a fan base down for long. Demoralization is incoming fast.
