Duct tape prom dresses and tuxes? Vote for your favorite

Can you imagine? A prom dress or tux made of duct tape? Surprisingly, some of them are stunningly beautiful. (See photos of the Top 10 Finalists below article.)

A contest was held again this year by Duck Tape. The challenge - to create a prom dress and tux that are made of duct tape. Participants were allowed to cover existing clothes with the tape, but they were told that "the entire outfit does not have to be 100% duct tape. However, if you look at past winners you will see that full duct tape attire was a plus."

The company who makes Duck Tape did not require that entrants use their brand of duct tape, but, of course, the company said that they should as their duct tape is "the best!"

Participants were required to enter as a couple and both of their outfits had to be made of the product. They were encouraged to accessorize their looks.

Voting for the top outfits is currently underway and the winners will be announced on July 19th. The prizes include:

Overall First Prize: Each individual member of the First Place Winning Couple will receive a cash scholarship of $3,000.00. The school that hosted the First Place Winning Couple's prom will receive a cash prize of $3,000.00.

Overall Second Prize: Each individual member of the Second Place Winning Couple will receive a cash scholarship of $2,000.00. The school that hosted the Second Place Winning Couple's prom will receive a cash prize of $2,000.00.

Overall Third Prize: Each individual member of the Third Place Winning Couple will receive a cash scholarship of $1,000.00. The school that hosted the third place Winning Couple's prom will receive a cash prize of $1,000.00.

Voting will be open through July 2nd.
