An Amber Alert has been issued today for a young girl who went missing on her way home from school yesterday. She was walking home with other children but ran ahead of them. The Amber Alert was not issued earlier because the girl has run off before. But she didn't stay gone this long.
This girl's name is Somer Renee Thompson. She was last seen near West Gano and Debarry Avenues in Orange Park, Florida. She was wearing a black shirt under a cranberry colored sweat suit with pink stripes running down the arms and legs. She may have had a red bow in hair and a white hat and scarf.
She is seven years old, She weighs approximately 65 pounds and is said to be 3 feet 7 inches tall. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

isn't the point of a amber alert to let the community know there is a child missing as soon as possible?who cares if the child has ran off before if she is missing now and some one bad has her then the clock is ticking on her life and the athorities know this.the whole whole point of the amber alert is to let the community know so they can all watch for her in hopes that someone spots her before some creep has her hidden away.
