Jessica Peri Chalmers has written articles for The Village Voice, Flash Art and other publications. She is a playwright and filmmaker with a PhD from New York University in Comparative Literature/Performance Studies. She has taught at The University of Notre Dame, Northwestern University and the University of Indiana, South Bend. Although she grew up in Greenwhich Village, New York City, she has lived in South Bend, Indiana since 1999.
