Thanks to a Land Trust established by Whidbey and Camano Islands 25 years ago, there are over 6000-acres of the great outdoors for you and your family to enjoy. So, if you’re looking for sky-touching buildings, bumper-to-bumper traffic, and parking lots filled to capacity, Whidbey Island will be a major disappointment.

As announced earlier, the 25th anniversary celebration for the Whidbey Camano Land Trust runs September 27 – October 3 and the week of events ends with a night of live entertainment. This year’s festivities include a concert by the Grammy award-winning duo Tingstad & Rumbel plus a keynote address by Attorney General, Rob McKenna. The evening’s program also includes an exhibit of brilliant landscape photography, two short films with one produced by Oak Harbor High School students, and recognition of local superstar conservationists. Writer and photographer Dan Pedersen, will also be celebrating and available to sign copies of his new book Whidbey Island’s Special Places and the People Who Love Them. To keep you in the celebratory mood, intermission features the serving of a special and ever-so-tasty “Islands” cake, created locally by J.W. Desserts.

Admission
The evening celebration is $10 per person. Reservations can be made at the Whidbey Camano Land Trust office or by phone at (360) 222-3310.
