The zoo is completely different at night when all the nocturnal animals come out to play.
Woodland Park Zoo is offering adventurous folks a night over at the zoo. There are different ways of signing up to spend a night amongst the various creatures that call the zoo home. There is a sign up for organized groups of 25 people or more, a sign up for members of the Girl Scouts of Western Washington, members of Campfire USA and a sign up for general members of the public in groups of less than 25 people.
To be accepted on this unique slumber party a registration form must be filled out and submitted for your date of choice. Dates vary depending on which group type you sign up under. The next sleepover date listed for the general public in groups of less than 25 is Friday, July 24 followed by Friday, August 14.
These overnight adventures are held in the Zoomazium and take place between 6pm and 9am. The sleepover is $48, but a simple evening in the zoo, just hanging out from 6pm to 10pm, is $33. Overall, the party will hold anywhere from 25 to 75 people. When touring the zoo grounds the groups will be smaller, but for everything else such as eating, sleeping and fun activities, all will take place within the larger group.
Learn about all the animals that are asleep during the daytime zoo visits and listen to wildlife come alive as the sun goes down. It is a sleepover that will not be soon forgotten.
