Warren Miller's "Dynasty" in Big Bear tomorrow night
In a celebration of winter and the beginning of the snow sport season, action sports filmmaker Warren Miller's latest release, "Dynasty" will show for one night only in Big Bear.
The feature-length film showcases the power of winter and includes footage from around the world including China, Alaska, Norway, British Columbia, and Colorado. An exploration of the past, present and future of winter sports, the movie includes rare historic footage from Warren Miller Entertainment's collection of vintage cinematography.
The film will be shown at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center at 7:00 pm, Wednesday December 2, 2009 as a fundraiser for Jordan Romero's quest to climb 7 of the highest peaks in the world. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10.00 at Mountain Fitness Center up until 5:00 pm on December 2. Tickets purchased at the door will be $15.00.
13 year old Jordan will be hosting the evening with a free raffle of gear, lift tickets, DVD's and clothing to be part of the fun. All proceeds go directly to support Jordan's climb of Mt Vinson in Antarctica. Jordan hopes to complete the 7 peaks challenge as the youngest finisher ever.
Tickets can be purchased at Mountain Fitness Center, 42007 Foxfarm Rd, Big Bear Lake 5am - 7pm today and tomorrow.
