An Evening In the Stacks at the Big Bear Library
Books, music, food, interesting programs and supporting an important community service. There is no better way to spend a Saturday evening!
This weekend, the Friends of the Big Bear Library are sponsoring An Evening in the Stacks, May 15 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm.
If you can tear yourself away from perusing the books, you'll enjoy music by Simply Voices choir and other local talent, hors d'oeuves and desserts from several of Big Bear's restaurants, and learn about mountain gardening from Linda Burgess, making jewelry from Verlaine Bennett, the Big Bear Trails Association, rare books, and the Big Bear Lake Antique Car Club.
Big Bear Lake Mayor, Liz Harris, and newly elected Man About Town, David Leach will preside while guests munch their way through goodies from the Copper Q Restaurant, Jaspers Smokehouse, the Sugar Pine Bake Shop, and the Sweet Basil Bistro.
Your donation for a fun Evening In the Stacks is $15.00. Membership, volunteer, and additional donor opportunities will be explained during the evening. Advance tickets to support this important community institution are available at the library. Please plan to pay by check.
