AFC is dedicated to "promoting awareness of the plight of homeless LGBT youth in the United States with the goal of generating responses on local and national levels from government funders, foundations, and the LGBT community." The Center was a beloved charity of late actress Bea Arthur. The Forney Center is in the process of naming one of its transitional housing facilities after the Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress.

Broadway Speaks OUT! is an online talk show that "provides viewers with an inside look at Broadway, current events, and the LGBT community."
