Parker CO has seen many restaurants come and go throughout this economic downturn and two more have joined that long list.
Bamba's Mexican Restaurant and Moyotes Restaurant.

Bamba's Mexican Restaurant which moved into the Shari's Restaurant Building several years ago closed it's doors a few days ago and Moyote's Restaurant which served a unique blend of Mexican and Hawaiian food are both now closed. The Bamba's space has a "For Lease" sign up and Moyote's spot has been re-leased to a new New York Pizzaria. Parker could use a great pizza place so we will all have to just wait and see what they'll have to offer.

Shrimp and Beef Fajita's at Bamba's Mexican Restaurant
Going to Bamba's was like visiting a large friendly family who would quickly learn your name and had one of the BEST Margarita's in Parker if you asked for a special one. Moyote's was also family owned and operated and Moy and his family will be missed by the regulars. Moyote's never got a liquor license which hurt their popularity with the folks who like to have a Marg or a Corona with their enchiladas.
Please let these closures remind residents to support the locally owned restaurants and other small businesses in Parker so they don't follow in the footsteps of these two.

We were huge fans of Moyotes and sorry to see them close. Great people, great food. Best wishes to them on their new ventures.
But hey, for great pizza in Parker, we love Granelli's in the Safeway shopping center. True Chicago style pizza (NOT deep dish!).
So sad, another statistic(2)due to the economic crisis.
@Jeannine so funny how different tastes are on pizza.. I didn't like the pizza there at ALL! I'm hoping for FAKE Chicago style pizza! :D
Yum!
:(
We do need to support local businesses. This is our backyard. This is us.
Its hard to see local business go outo f business. Local business separate the mcdonalds from the mom and pop shops.
I am a huge fan of buying local -- for a whole host of reasons -- and it saddens me to see longstanding local businesses losing the battle against the recession.
Really sad when family owned places close. That is one positive thing I can say about Taiwan - most restaurants are family-owned (in truth, many are food stalls) but unless you hit Western chains or a few Asian ones, everything has a face to the name - it's quite a nice departure from what I grew up with.
Of course, now I am craving Mexican food after reading this (something obviously difficult to find here and our one favorite place is closed until the end of September for remodel).
Food looks wonderful, to bad the economy is hurting us all!
