Indoor climbing walls have certainly become all the rage in recent years and luckily the Parker Recreation Center installed one at The Parker Fieldhouse. The Fieldhouse climbing wall is called "The Pinnacle" and is going to be the home of a continuing indoor climbing wall tournament series.
When: Saturday August 28, 2010
Where: Parker Fieldhouse
18700 E. Plaza Dr.
Parker CO 80134
Who can compete? Youth ages 6 to 18 will test their skills on challenging routes from 5.6 to 5.12 in difficulty.
A tournament entry fee of $10 includes daily admission to the Fieldhouse, harness and shoe rental for those who do not have their own equipment and all participants will receive a special T-shirt. Highest total scores in three age divisions receive trophies.

Indoor climbing at Parker Fieldhouse? That sounds like an accessible climbing tournament for beginning climbers and a fun way to be introduced to the sport.
