Today, Boston band Echo Kings releases their self-titled debut record, which will be available at the shows, the iTunes music store and select retail locations (including Newbury Comics). The local pop band promises “catchy tunes, deep pocket grooves, and grand sonic depth… a 43 minute full slap in the ears.”
To celebrate the new release, the Kings are throwing a party tomorrow at Great Scott. Joining them will be special guests Plushgun. The New York indie/”electroacoustic” trio is notorious for getting crowds dancing. Lead singer Dan Ingala is originally from Massachusetts, and they have quite a dedicated following in this part, deservedly. After more than a half dozen reviews have referred to their songs as “infectious,” it is obvious that Plushgun fever is indeed catching.
The show tomorrow (Wednesday, July 21st) is 18+ and doors open at 9 PM. Great Scott is located at the intersection of Harvard and Commonwealth Avenues, at the Harvard Ave. stop on the B (Green) Line. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance by clicking here.
