Westboro Baptist To Share Hate In Atlanta

According to the Westboro Baptist "God Hates Fags" Church schedule, they will be protesting in Atlanta on September 9 from 10 - 10:30 am.

Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta - Rich Jews Lying to 1 another, BORING 181 Peachtree Street, N.E. WBC NEEDS to be outside this swank sideshow to remind these money-grubbers just what God thinks about them.

Atlanta is full of enriching and interesting activities. This will not be one of them. Atlanta also has many churches that go and help people while lovingly sharing the Gospel. This will not be one of them.

It is uncertain how the above quote motivates anyone to do anything in the name of Christianity. It is true that Christian doctrine is that God calls everyone to repent of their sin and turn to Christ, believing the Gospel, for a right relationship with God. Only through Jesus in this manner can one's sins be forgiven. It is also true that God hates sin, however He doesn't only hate the sins of non-Christians. Even though Christians' sins are covered by Jesus sacrifice on the cross this does not excuse them of their sins.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians chapter 5 that Christians are to judge those inside the church rather than those outside. The Gospel itself is offensive to non-Christians without self-righteous attitudes of those who profess to be Christians. In light of these biblical positions it is unclear of why the Westboro folks run around the country protesting non-Christians in the hateful manner they do.

The most important issue for non-Christians to understand is the Westboro thankfully does not represent the majority or even a minority view of professing Christians. At best they offer a fringe view of alleged followers of Jesus. A view the Christian world nor the Bible would recognize as any form of Christianity. The most loving thing Christians can do for Westboro is to go and share the Gospel with them at one of their protests.

Where does this little "church" get the resources to do all these demos? Hmmm...who is financing this? Perhaps the checks come from Langley, VA?

Jack, I have wondered the same thing about their funding. They actually have several stops on their schedule which would be virtually impossible to get to on the same day.

Yes, "please", its much easier to believe that in 2009, random chance and billions of years have created intelligent beings able to ponder their own existence and realize that they're nothing more than a collection of atoms without need or basis for morality or love any more than the need to procreate and further the species. With philosophy like that don't be inconsistently angry when someone stills your car or murders your family.
