British authorities reopened airspace, including London airports, on Tuesday evening. All scheduled long haul flights, into and out of London, on British Airways are planned to operate on Wednesday April 21. Virgin Atlantic will also operate a full schedule. There may be changes to departure times and gates for some flights and there may be continued cancelations of short haul flights.
Air France planned to operate all its long haul flights on Wednesday.
Here is a rundown of European airspace as of early Wednesday morning:
Austria—Airspace open
Belgium—Landings allowed. Departures begin 12:00 GMT Wednesday U
Britain—Airports open
Denmark—Airspace open from 00:00 GMT Wednesday until at least 06:00.
Finland—Closed until at least 06:00 GMT Wednesday
France— Most airports open, some flight limitations
Germany—Airspace open at 00:01 GMT Wednesday
Ireland —Airspace open
Italy—Airspace open
Netherlands—Airspace open
Norway— Airspace open
Poland— Airspace open 05:00 GMT Wednesday
Spain—Airspace, airports open
Sweden— Airspace openover central-northern areas. Stockholm airport closed until at least Wednesday morning
Switzerland— Airspace open
