Here’s the honest truth: I wish I’d written this book, Food Lovers' Atlanta. But since I didn’t I’m really glad my friend and fellow food writer, Malika Harricharan was the one to do it. Malika is the author of the popular Atlanta Restaurant Blog. She knows that an exceptional meal can just as easily be found at a hole in the wall restaurant as a swanky establishment. In her new book, due out this week, she shares the best Atlanta has to offer in the way of food.
Food Lovers' Atlanta features short descriptions of restaurants in the metro Atlanta area and is a great resource for those visiting Atlanta or residents who want to get out and explore the city but aren't sure where to start. The guide is divided by neighborhood or you can use the index to look up restaurants by cuisine. For those of us with watching our expenses, there’s a price guide and even a section on special prices for each night of the week.
But it’s not just restaurants. You can find information on food festivals, culinary events, specialty food shops and farmers’ markets. Since this is such a foodie town, Food Lovers’ Atlanta also includes special features about Atlanta chefs who have appeared on Top Chef and recipes from popular Atlanta restaurants. The book releases November 22, but you can order it now through Amazon.
When Harricharan’s not traveling the world or seeking out hidden food gems in Atlanta, she works as a social media marketer, creating and managing blogs, websites, social media, videos, and email newsletters for various clients.
Malika Harricharan is the Managing Editor of the Association of Food Bloggers. In addition to her blog, you can follow her on Twitter @ATLEatsNTweets and @FoodLoversATL or like her Facebook fan page.
Malika recently featured an article about the Atlanta Culinary Tour of Norcross.
