Senator Harry Reid (D-NV), in his role as Majority Floor Leader, has already prepared a motion to place the just-passed House health-care bill on the Senate calendar.

The House and Senate are out of session right now, but the Senate will reconvene on November 16, at which time it will take up Reid's motion.

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) has already issued an alert urging all of its members to urge their Senators to vote against this motion. (For the benefit of New Jerseyans reading this, you can reach Senator Lautenberg here and Senator Menendez here.)

AAPS have also released a list of twenty-four myths about health care and health-care reform, with counter-arguments.

AAPS has also set up a special website, TakeBackMedicine.com, to co-ordinate protests against anything that smacks of socialized medicine. This site published an open letter to doctors back in June of this year. More recently, on September 2 of this year, AAPS members announced their intention to sue the government over the program to collect "fishy" e-mails about health-care reform:

On October 14, doctors at the AAPS annual meeting produced this video:

The TakeBackMedicine project also coordinated a protest at the AMA convention in Houston, Texas:

Separately, the following parody video, "Greenback Congressman," appeared on YouTube on November 10, criticizing socialized medicine in particular and government overspending in general:
