Prince William's bride Kate Middleton will not ride horse-drawn carriage to wed

Although her groom is an active polo player, British Prince William’s bride apparently will not travel to the royal wedding in the customary horse-drawn carriage.

Clarence House, the royal Twitter account, issued a series of Tweets, revealing recent developments in the much-anticipated wedding plans.

Here’s the Tweeted news on HRH Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton wedding, as the details were ponied up on January 6th:

  • “Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton have made more decisions on their upcoming wedding. More tweets to follow.”
  • “Miss Middleton will travel to Westminster Abbey by car.”
  • “The route will include The Mall, Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and Parliament Square.”
  • “The wedding service will begin at 11am.”
  • “The Archbishop of Canterbury will marry Prince William and Miss Middleton, and the Bishop of London will give the address.”
  • “The Dean of Westminster will conduct the service.”
  • “The couple, now married, will return along a Processional Route in a carriage procession to Buckingham Palace.”
  • “On arrival at the Palace, friends and family will gather for a private reception, hosted by The Queen.”
  • “The Prince of Wales will host a private dinner, followed by dancing, at Buckingham Palace in the evening, for close friends and family.”

Although additional details have not been revealed, it is clear already that Kate Middleton’s bridal path will not include a bridle path – at least, not until after she and Prince William have tied the knot in their royal wedding on April 29, 2011.
