State lawmakers punt on any legislative action, except to enforce dress code

We the people have been waiting for our lawmakers to tackle any number of issues before next week's adjournment.

Plastic bags, water diversion flaps and, oh, yes, the state's budget.

So far no action at all.  However some have chimed in with concerns about the attire of women in the capital building.  It seems the hot weather in Sacramento has brought out the scourge of bare shoulders.

Here without further wordage is a comment to that story from a reader of the Sacramento Bee.

"The dress code of the Assembly, all of whose members currently come from the two big-money corporate parties that are destroying our environment and society for profit, should be very simple: white hazmat suits. This will warn visitors that they are entering a toxic environment, dangerous to human beings. I will do my best to reduce the toxicity by voting for all the Peace and Freedom Party candidates on my ballot this November."
