I love this show, this show has been my life, and I love it enough know when it's time to say goodbye," she said. "Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and it feels right in my spirit." Yesterday reports surfaced that Previously, Tim Bennett, president of Harpo, Inc. announced that Winfrey's show will air its final episode on Sept. 9, 2011, marking her 25th season.
Stars react to Oprah's departure
On ET, Matt Damon is quoted as saying, "I just heard that and I'm shocked "But I'm sure that whatever she does will have a lasting and positive impact on American culture. She's just an incredible human being, and I don't think she's going to disappear. It would be amazing to not have her in front of you every day in your living room…I still have to digest it. She's done quite a bit, to say the least, over the last 25 years. She's got to do what feels right for her. She's certainly earned that right."
Lisa Ling told CNN, " I have had better journalism with the Oprah Winfrey Show than I ever had for any other news outlets." "No one can fill Oprah's shoes. She has been a women of integrity since the beginning and that is the reason why I respect her."
Ellen Degeneres told her audience yesterday, "I don't think I could be here without her. I think she has blazed a trail that...She's an amazing, amazing woman."
Singer Nelly Furtado wrote on her twitter page, 'Today is Oprahs day lets send her some love magnified by 100, she will be missed."
