Sonny and Cher's daughter underwent a sex change.
On Thursday Sonny and Cher's daughter Chastity Bono will give their first interview since changing her name to Chaz and becoming a man through a series of operations. Chaz will make an appearance on "Entertainment Tonight," and according to Perez Hilton the interview will continue across a few shows.
Some of the likely topics include the following: the sex change, his relationship to mother Cher, and what he wants to do with his life moving forward as Chaz.
For "Entertainment Tonight" it marks a chance for the show to begin to pull in strong ratings before the all-important "sweeps" period begins next month. It also will give viewers a chance to have an inside view into one of the most famous musical families of all time.

This is disgusting. She wants to be a man because she's so unattractive and overweight. One day she says she's a lesbian, the next day, she's a man. Why not lose the weight and get some good psychotherapy? And for crying out loud - stay OUT of the public eye. Be gone already.

Chaz is cool and I applaud him for having the courage to live his life as he feels to be true to himself.
I would like to see this if i remember to. Chas/Chaz was a beautiful girl at one time, & for health reasons, should lose weight anyway. Cher even is worried about it. But what goes on between them is their business. It prob is hard for Cher to wrap her head around it. After all, it's been said that Elijah dresses in women's clothes, so something is a little off in the gene pool possibly! lol Seriously tho, I hate to see Chaz go thru all that. It's quite a drastic decision. It doesn't necessarily guarantee happiness. But it is her/his decision. We should just all pray for the family & for her & hope this is what makes him happy. I just think, no matter how you feel in your body, you may be better off accepting it & working around it, i just hope her/his girlfriend will stay with her after all this.
I"m sure this was a difficult descision for her to make, also they do have to go threw thearpy to have this done. It is not a overnight process. And as a mother I hope she/he has unconditonal LOVE. It is hard enough to be critized in the public, then to get it from your loved one's. Bless you all

Thinking about it more...what about ugly fat men, Carlton? Is there no hope, or should they become women?
