Virginia State Police has reported that one person has been killed when a tour bus belonging to Miley Cyrus overturned on a Virginia highway. The report also stated that Cyrus, the 16-year-old singer who plays the role of "Hannah Montana" was not on board.
According to the report from Viriginia State Police Sargeant Thomas Molnar , the bus overturned around 8:15 a.m. this morning (Friday) on Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie, Virginia (about 40 miles south of Richmond, VA).
The police would not identify those onboard, pending notification of family and relatives, but did indicate that one of the other nine passengers suffered minor injuries.
According to Miley Cyrus' Web site, the pop singer is still scheduled to perform Sunday in Greensboro, N.C., however, there is speculation that the concert could be re-scheduled due to the tragic circumstances of the crash.
Miley Cyrus is the star of the Disney Channel series, "Hannah Montana" and is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, who also appears on the show.
