Supermodel Cindy Crawford and husband entrepreneur Rande Gerber revealed they have been the victims of an $100, 000 extortion plot. The plot surrounds photos taken of their then 7 year old daughter . Allegedly court papers filed by FBI and US attorney ‘s office say the photos were taken as a a “ prank” by an UN-named Nanny depict Crawford’s daughter bound and gagged.
Reportedly the Nanny’s boyfriend Edis Kayalar took the photo from her, and repeatedly tried to extort money from the couple. Allegedly he threatened to sell the photo to the media if his demands for money were not met. Kayalar has been deported to Germany and charged with one count of extortion. He could face up to two years in jail if he is convicted of the crime.

Lawyer and spokeswoman for the couple Annett Wolf stated, "Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter."

The couple who reside in Malibu California have been married since 1998, and have two children Presley Waker born 1999, and Kaia Jordan born 2001.
