How do you photo booth?

One of my favorite things in the world is the photo booth. Any friend of mine can vouch that a night out with me will always involve a random series of photo booth sessions. It has even become a verb in my own personal lexicon, as in "Do you guys want to photobooth?" In addition, it's always mandatory to bring a lot of singles to feed the machine whenever the perfect moment strikes.

Another true love of mine is BBQ Bar (N. Orange Ave). Throughout college, and still today, it is the one bar that has remained the same- long story short, it's awesome. Christmas lights still intact, jukebox with the best selection, and my name written somewhere on the side of that old RV bus that is the wall, BBQ does, did, and always will have a little piece of my heart.

It is a known fact that BBQ has the best photo booth. Sure, others have tried, but nothing comes close to this oldie but goodie. Set in the perfect little nook of the bar, complete with a flamingo and a snowman within reach for that rare moment of impromptu posing, this photo booth is the one all the others in Orlando wish to be. Many of my hard earned dollars have been fed into this 'lil beauty and I am always happy with the result.

So, imagine my delight when the news of a "photo booth contest" broke. Every Monday night at BBQ Bar a contest is hosted by Adam Hudgins and Tyson Bodiford. People pay money, take the "best" photobooth pictures, and win prizes (aka drinks). Contestants can bring costumes, props, etc., turn the strip in for judging and at 1 am the winner will be declared. To add to the fun, each week there will be a mystery judge. All the fun begins at 10 pm with great drink specials and no cover (another reason I love this place).

There is no reason to not go out on this and every Monday night. If you go to BBQ, you're going to end up in the photo booth anyhow so why not win something for it? BBQ's been making things cool for years, Monday had it coming.
