What looked like a prize fighting the ring turned into a performance by Jennifer Lopez. The Pop Diva was dressed a a boxer in black satin jacket, short shorts, and black tennis shoes. Things were going smoothly until JLo fell during the choreography. A true pro she got up and kept dancing, and ended the number in a gold outfit.

This was Houston’s first live TV performance in years. She appeared back lit in all white looking like an Angel. She was backed up by a full orchestra and gospel choir singing what seemed to be a autobiographical song “ didn’t know my own strength”. She choked back tears as fans cheered. This was a VERY entertaining show and I really enjoyed watching it. Love it or hate it...I appreciate the over the top production numbers. I am tired of shows that play it "safe"...there are plenty of those out there. This show was daring, exciting, and had something for almost everybody.
As for Taylor Swift receiving the artist of the year...I think we can thank Kanye for that.

I never saw Lady Gaga before randomly licking onto a video of her AMA performance. And then clicking onto 19 more times. I think you can call me an instant fan.
