The 67th Annual Golden Globes Awards will be presented by some of tinseltown’s biggest stars. The event is Sunday, January 17, and will be broadcast live coast to coast on NBC (5 to 8 pm PT, 8 to 11 pm ET) from The Beverly Hilton. it be seen in more than 160 countries worldwide, and during tonights presentation The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is announcing that it will be donating $100,000 to the Wyclef Jean "Yele Haiti" relief fund for for the victims of the earthquake.
This years host is british comic and past Golden Globe winner Ricky Gervais. Gervais is also known for the hit show the Office and Extras. About him being chosen as this years host Gervais said “How many people said no, I don’t know what they were thinking.”
Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon, along with fellow Oscar winner Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Julia Roberts are among tonight presenters. Member of the cast of "Nine" will also be on stage including Helen Mirran, Kate Hudson, and Sophia Loren.
Numerous hollywood leading men will also be on hand including Twilight star Taylor Lautner, Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson, Samuel L Jackson ,Keifer Sutherland, Neil Patrick Harris, and Matthew Fox. Other notable presenters are Sir Paul McCartney, Amy Adams, Colin Farrell, Christina Aguilera, Harrison Ford, Jennifer Aniston, Jodie Foster, Sam Worthington, Jennifer Garner, Mickey Rourke, Zoe Saldana, and Ashton Kutcher.
The highlight of the event should be when both Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio present the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Cecil B. DeMille Award to Martin Scorsese for his “outstanding contribution to the entertainment field.”
