Who knows where the rumor started.
Perhaps it's just wishful thinking, but many are speculating that the WWE has contacted wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson about making a very special appearance on WWE Raw.
Although most fans (including executives at WWE) believe it is highly unlikely that the Rock will ever return to the ring, one possibility on the table is that Johnson may agree to serve as a guest host on a future edition of Monday Night Raw.
Although Johnson continues to speak positively of the WWE in public, in private it is believed that he wants nothing to do with the company
that allowed his contract to expire in late 2004.

I think the rock can come back cuz I watch the wwe raw every Monday hoping the rock come back face randy orton & john cena & triple h in a fatal for way for the wwe chamionship. I think he'll be back. Look at the pattern..... Hogan started out making action movies, then had to go to making childrens (P.G.) movies as sales dropped. Now I'm not saying his sales are down but he's following the same pattern. He started out strong in Hollywood but his recent work....Well, it sucks. When the movie offers slow down I think he'll start looking at coming back. After all, he's a SPORTS entertainer and whether he likes it or not he's better at that than movies. But that's just my opinion and you know wha they say about opinions...They're like a__holes, everyone has one, some stink, some don't.

Ok, two things: One, for the guy who is posting comments as "The Rock"... why are you writing these as if The Rock himself is actually reading them? You're even going so far as to say "you need to come back and beat up blah blah blah"... you DO know its just for entertainment, right? Your tone is such that you seem to take it very seriously. Secondly, for those who call The Rock a "dickhead" and a "sellout", look at Austin as an example. His neck injuries have gotten so bad he cant wrestle matches anymore. WWE is a changed company with a changed product. Do we wanna see the The Rock's character overdone until we're sick of it? He made the right career choice for HIMSELF. Stay in wrestling and either become a joke or injure yourself like everyone else does eventually, or become an actor, make more money and take better care of yourself. Remember the old saying: leave your audience wanting more. He did just that, and thats why we'll always have fond memories of his days in the ring.

I have quit watching wrestling all together in 2004 when he left the WWE. It is bland and awful now. With the rise of MMA, even though one is an actual sport and the other a male soap opera with athleticism, it has taken many fans away from professional wrestling. Dwayne Johnson coming back would be the only way wrestling entertainment can come back to its former glory.
