Former Alaska Governor and Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin dropped a bombshell on Barbara Walters in an interview that will air next week on Good Morning America and 20/20.
In the conversation with Barbara Walters, Sarah Palin admits that she was unaware that her daughter Bristol was sexually active with Levi Johnston.
“Truthfully, we were devastated,” Palin reveals about learning that Bristol was pregnant while still in high school.
Bristol gave birth to son Tripp in December.
Bristol Palin's pregnancy was revealed only days after Sarah Palin was announced as Senator John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 presidential election.
The interview with Barbara Walters comes as Sarah Palin works to promote her new bestselling memoir “Going Rogue.”

Who's surprised? Is there ANYONE who thought that Palin had time to actually be a mother? Part of being a good parent is simply being there. As Gov of Alaska and then candidate for Vice President she had ZERO time for family. Now she'll be on a bus touring the backwoods doing her book tour and who knows what's after that. The only people who want to excuse Palin's parenting skills are those die-hard Conservative who will excuse anything if you're in their favor.
