Forget comparisons to Michael Jackson, former baseball slugger Sammy Sosa resembles a vampire from Twilight more than he does the late King of Pop.
Although comparisons to Robert Pattinson begin and end with the pale face look of Edward Cullen, many are searching for answers to Sosa's bizarre "condition."
Sammy Sosa addressed the striking transformation by simply blaming his new look on a skin cream that apparently left him looking... white. Sosa didn't make any claims about having an illness. And since his facial features didn't change, few suspect plastic surgery.
"What happened was that I had been using the cream for a long time and that, combined with the bright TV lights, made my face look whiter than it really is. I don’t think I look like Michael Jackson," Sosa told ESPN
Understandably, few are accepting that a skin cream could have done this to the former Chicago Cub without him desiring the outcome.
Nonetheless, all eyes will be on Sosa once again tonight, as the baseball great celebrates his 41st birthday at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, where his good friend Paulina Rubio will perform.
