Macaulay Culkin has not issued a public statement yet about the death of his friend Michael Jackson.
Yet, Culkin has a long history of being silent about his friendship with the King of Pop.
Five years ago, however, Macaulay Culkin, who has lived a quiet life in recent years with girlfriend Mila Kunis, broke years of previous silence and discussed his friendship with Michael Jackson on CNN's Larry King Live.
“I wasn’t one of his fans,” Culkin told King. “I think that’s one of the reasons we connected. I called him a jerk all the time. I called him a fathead and he gets it.” As for the molestation allegations and what happened when he was at Neverland, “That’s what’s so weird,” Culkin responded. “Nothing happened. Really. We played video games.”
Not long after his first interview about Jackson, Culkin took the stand during Jackson's criminal trial to defend his childhood pal.
During the trial, Culkin reported that Michael Jackson "never" sexually molested him or touched him in an improper way when he was still a child star.
Referring to the allegations at the time as "absolutely ridiculous," Culkin summarized staying at Neverland Ranch as "good old fun."

What should Mac say? Seriously. With the loss of his sister Dakota last December, he wasn't throwing himself under the bus for the public's delight then, so why would he make a public statement about MJ's death? With everyone coming out & babbling about MJ, especially the world's largest leech; "Reverend" Al Sharpton rambling on & on & on some more as soon as he could, what more can or should people / celebrities say about the swift end of MJ? Here's hoping that Mac & the other friends & family of MJ are able to get through their loss & sorrow without the media taking advantage of them & spinning what they say or do into a proverbial tabloid headline.

i absolutley agree with what KC says, macualey should be given time to grieve (especially after the death of his sister) and then it is upto him if he wants to release a statement. to prove your emotions towards a lost friend/familymember/partner you do not need to issue statements for the public do you?
and as for Michael Jackson and the child abuse allegations...i do not beleive it for a second. i reckon he was the victim as he was targetted because of his fame and money- i'll take my words back if im proven wrong

If MJ had done anything with a kid, I used to think Culkin would surely be one. And yet even he says nothing ever happened, and dirtbags everywhere continue to call him a molester. Feldman says nothing happened. Lewis says nothing happened. Every kid and adult who ever knew him says so, except for two unknown kids with sketchy parents. I think some of these haters we see now are just racist but can't give their real reason for hating him, so they use that instead. And the media will never let it go either, because it's juicy gossip and it sells. People are learning the truth now, but it comes too late.
Yes indeed his legacy is a sad loss. MJ or not, the man next store or not, sexual abuse is a VERY complex cycle of power and control. Typically it is a learned behavior. Many are ill informed of how children respond and tell their story. IT's seems difficult to believe that an icon like MJ "herolike" figure could do such a thing. However , he is HUMAN. Suffered lotsa pain and turmoil. We do not know the nature of his childhood/pain. It's obivious he had poor coping abilites. His behaviors are certaintly consistent w/ someone in pain & definitly engaging in inappropriate behavior w/ children, possibly sexual abuse. Its important to acknowledge that he was a man in deep pain, separate from his artistic abilities. Now his pain can rest.

We must contemplate what courage and moral conviction Michael had within him to stand up to his critics and tell the 20th century world about his private life. It was immediate character assassination. It seemed to be the stupidest thing anybody could ever do. But looking back, it was the Bravest thing that he ever did. For he spoke the truth. At a time when the Moral Majority was attempting a fundamentalist dictatorship in the USA, "little Michael" stood before the world press and declared his love. It was a saintly act, courageous, and bold. It reminds us that America is not a truly free country. And that by his friendship with Nelson Mandella, South Africa now has even more freedoms in their constitution than the USA.THINK!
Mac was probably so close to Jackson.you could see they really connected as childhood friends.Basically, people need time to grieve; they need time to breathe.and Culkin is definitely one of them. and all that press about molestation is pure C-R-A-P all the way..just a way to get money and bring MJ down. I think MJ had a form of Autism. That would explain everything. I never thought he was guilty of molesting kids. I always felt sorry for him. He reminded me of Tom Hanks in BIG.

To set the record straight, there were more than two accusers (another was the maid's son). Macaulay's name has been mentioned several times as another molestee (by adults and accusers). Honestly, if MJ molested you, would you want to be part of the media circus? Macaulay was suppeoneaed to testify at the trial but I think that his silence now speaks volumes. I loved MJ the entertainer, but I can't believe 100% that he is innocent. He had too much money, too many yes men & too many powerful people to buy him out of anything, and he knew that. He is also used to lying, he has done it from the very beginning, when he had to change his age two years younger so he would appear cuter. Honestly, if my child was molested by MJ, I think that I would have took the money too, not to lessen the crime, but I wouldn't want my child to face an accuser that powerful. A less famous man would have been convicted with the evidence they had.

He probably would have been convicted if he wasn't rich and famous. But that probably comes down to the fact that it was not a normal case and there was a strong motive for him to be framed.
I'm also positive that he had a from of autism which would explain why he never seemed to engage in sexual relationships, since people with a form of autism can be overwelmingly shy. As a result some people will live alone there entire lives.
But then again, I don't really understand why macauly wouldn't have testified for his "good friend".

I agree with the ocmmentor above me. Why should Culkin have to say anything? His friend just died, let Culkin grieve quietly if that's what he wants and it obviously is. Considering Culkin lived the bulk of his young adulthood deliberately outside the spotlight, it seems that talking to the media when he's grieving would be the last thing he wanted to do.

There were numerous people who plainly saw Mj being touchy feely with Macaulay. Whether or not Macaulay considers that being mollested, or what have you, doesn't mean Mike didnt have a strange affinity for the kid and you don't know Mjs feelings or thoughts.
