It's been a rough summer for Jessica Simpson.
Gone are the days when Simpson's biggest slip of the tongue came as she confused tuna with chicken.
As of late, her verbal gaffes have generated much more controversy.
Last month, the 29-year-old offended some in the Native American community by using what is widely considered a "racial slur."
When TMZ asked Simpson if she would retrieve the pricey boat she bought for former boyfriend Tony Romo, her response was not politically correct.
"I'm not an Indian giver," she stated.
This morning, Jessica Simpson is taking another dose of heat (but a small one, for sure) as a result of a Tweet relating to her dog.
Yesterday, Simpson posted a comment on her Twitter account about her puppy, Daisy - which was a gift from Nick Lachey.
"Daisy and her best friend Bella back together again," Simpson commented beneath a photo. "Lesbian lovas forever!"
Some have expressed anger over a lesbian reference used in discussion about two dogs. Others were just as shocked that anyone would actually be offended by such a seemingly harmless, innocent comment.
Should anyone really be upset about this comment?

I agree with "wendy pendy" we should leave her alone.
We all thing it and make the same comments among friends from time to time, and not only on this topic whats the big deal.She just said out loud. The gay community is a but to thin skinned if you ask me, just like black folk (I am black mind you).
this story is so ridiculous. i really dont care for the girl myself but the gay community takes things way out of hand. it has gotten to the point that people cannot say anything without some group being all offended by it.
I think that when you are as stupid as Jessica Simpson is we as a community that is far brighter than she will ever be. We should cut her some slack, she obviously doesn't seem to mind when people leave comments such as mine in which she is called, Idiot, Moron, Oxy-Moron, Stupid Idiot and last but not least IDIOT.....

How come when my friends and I said "Indian Giver", oh 40-50 years ago,, we never got our picture on the InterWeb ??? Maybe certain people weren't so "sensitive" back then.... Un-fing believable !!!
Oh, and using "Jessica Simpson" and Lesbian lovas" together in the same paragraph is just unfair. Without pictures, that is.
Of course a person wouldn't be insulted especially if they are the uneducated, selfish and privilege that wouldn't feel or understand. Why should we leave Jessica alone? She wanted to sing and be famous. Of course she's going to get the attention and must understand she is a role model.
