In what appears to have been a fatality from heart failure or a massive heart attack, actress Brittany Murphy died early Sunday morning at the age of 32.
The Hollywood community is in shock following word of the film star's bizarre and tragic death at such a young age.
Although few details are known about the cause of death, multiple media outlets are now saying that the actress went into cardiac arrest.
Murphy was unresponsive to attempts at revival and a 911 call was placed early this morning from a Los Angeles residence the actress shared with her husband Simon Monjack.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department acknowledged that Murphy's body was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where the actress was ultimately reported dead on arrival.
Brittany Murphy is best remembered for starring in such films in the films "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word." Murphy's last major film role was in 2005's "Sin City."
Murphy was recently parodied on Saturday Night Live and portrayed as a spaced-out and seemingly troubled figure.
Funeral arrangements for Brittany Murphy are now pending.

This is very depressing :( she was such a great actress and now she's gone...although she is worth crying more about than michael jackson.
Cocaine induced I'm sure
Wow. Sara, now was that necessary. I mean did you not feel that it could have stopped in your thoughts, to even write it and click send, and nothing told you, "maybe this isn't appropriate, to think, much-less comment."
