Levi Johnston is proclaiming victory today.
The would-be son-in-law of former Alaska Governor and potential presidential contender Sarah Palin has racked up what some are calling a critical early victory in the custody battle with Bristol Palin over his one year old son, Tripp.
People magazine is reporting that a judge in the case is in agreement with Johnston, who wants court proceedings open to the public.
Palin had previously filed for full custody, while Levi Johnston wants the right to participate in the raising of his son. Bristol had asked to keep the custody war out of the public spotlight. Her request for a gag order, however, was denied.
Johnston fired back in an affidavit: "I know that public scrutiny will simplify this matter and act as a check against anyone's need to be overly vindictive, aggressive or malicious, not that Bristol would ever be that way, nor that I would. But her mother is powerful, politically ambitious and has a reputation for being extremely vindictive . . . So, I think a public case might go a long way in reducing Sarah Palin's instinct to attack."
"None of this is true," Bristol replied. "My mother is not involved in this case." Bristol maintains that Levi Johnston only wants the case open to the public "for his own self-promotion."

levi you have some nerve to acuse Sarah Palin of manipulation. You just want it public to have your name in the lime light once again. You were the one that went public and attacked her and name called and said all kinds of unkind and untruths about her and the entire family. You are a typical Kate Gosselin personality.. got to be in the limelight to be worth a darn.. well you are a worthless pond scum sucker... you live off everyone else and the only money you earned was off your attacks on them.. shame on you..
oh and how are you going to support and teach this child proper way of life..??? I dont think you have an honest bone in your body! NO you cannot ask mommy to raise your child for you. Do your son a favor and go back under the rock you climbed out from under.
