Two past American Idol contestants will be in the Twin Cities this weekend, seventh season runner up David Archuleta and season five fourth place finalist Chris Daughtry. Archuleta is coming to town on Saturday with Teen sensation Demi Lovato. Daughtry will be performing with his band on Sunday.
David Archuleta was the runner up on the seventh season of American Idol in the battle of the David’s finale. David Cook narrowly beat out Archuleta to win the Idol crown [ check out photos from David Cook's recent Minnesota show ]. The idol finalist released his self titled debut album in November 2008 which entered the charts at #2 and has sold nearly one million copies worldwide. Since Idol Archuleta made his acting debut appearing on Nickelodeon's show iCarly and also appeared on Disney Channels Hannah Montana. Archuleta is nominated for three Teen Choice Awards including best break out artist and best music tour (with Demi Lovato).
Daughtry, which is lead by American Idol Season Five fourth place finalist Chris Daughtry, sold over five million albums of their 2006 self-titled debut release. The album spawned a number of huge hits, three number one songs, multiple American Music Awards, World Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards. The band's most recent album Leave This Town landed at #1 with just over 270,000 copies sold the first week. Leave this Town was the first album to successfully bump Michael Jackson Number Ones from the top spot following his death. The band is currently on a thirteen city tour in support of Leave this Town.
David Archuleta is performing with Demi Lovato and Jordan Pruitt Saturday August 8 at the Target Center. Tickets are $12.99 - $49.95 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
Daughtry will be hitting the stage at The Cabooze in Minneapolis on Sunday August 9 at 6pm. The show is sold out.

I attended David Archuleta's shows last weekend in Florida and he was AMAZING!!! I wish I could see him again; he is AWESOME on stage and his voice, WOW!!! his voice is powerful, beautiful! He is THE BEST! I recommend everybody to go to his concert, you are going to live and enjoy an incredible experience.

I saw David Archuleta in Seattle. If you haven't seen him live, you need to. He has a beautiful voice, and not bad to look at either. He's gorgeous in every way.Go see him, it's worth every penny. I can't wait for his Christmas album.:)
If you haven't bought a ticket to see David/Demi yet...RUN to get one. David Archuleta gives a great performance, his singing ability and stage presence is awesome. Better yet, if you can find a single ticket that will get you near the front, he definitely reaches out! You have to hear him sing live!
I just saw David Archuleta and let me tell you he is downright amazing. He had the voice and that sweet personality on AI but now he has the stage presense and performances skills to go with it! I couldn't believe it. He was all over that stage jumping, touching hands with fans, smiling, and moving that cute body.....how he does all of that and still sing with that beautiful voice I have no idea. His single Crush has sold platinum and is on it's way to double platinum.....He is amazing. He has done like 5 tours in a year since idol all over the place.
David is a cutie and that boy can sing. I saw him in concert and that was the best concert I have ever been to. He had everyone jumping and dancing and touching his hand. And he did a cover of bubbly that you would not believe and the songs on his album that he does were amazing! I especially loved Zero Gravity and his platinum single Crush. Just an amazing concert. I can't wait to go to another one and I hear he is doing a Christmas album too and tour to promote that. I just can't wait.
I took my girls to a recent Demi concert and was completely blown way by David Archuleta. He's still that adorably awkward guy from Idol but with an AMAZING stage presence now to go along with the best voice in the music industry. His set was so much fun and filled with energy and passion plus he has matured VERY nicely. My girls and I are now big fans. If you are thinking that you don't want to go see Demi Lovato (I'll admit that I wasn't looking forward to that), trust me his set is worth the price of the tickets. It's a shame that Disney hasn't promoted his appearance on the tour -I think he's bringing in half the audience just by worth of mouth! Go David Archuleta!!
Gotta get a ticket 2 see David Archuleta! Saw him in Pittsburgh and Chicago and the show is soooooo much fun! Everyone is out of their seats and jumps 2 ZERO GRAVITY! He OWNS the stage and ROCKS IT! LUV LUV LUV his incredible vocals!!

David is the best live performance I have seen in forever and no, I am not 15. I'm a middle age mother of a college student. I cannot wait for his Christmas album and absolutely consider myself a David fan for life!
With a VOICE for all ages, David is Heaven to your ears! Go, see him live. You will NOT be dissapointed!
I wish he will sing "When You Say You Love Me" in one or two of his tours. I bet the audience will love it. Can't wait for his Christmas album and his next album.
