Actor Al Quinn was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After being discharged from the U.S. Navy and under the GI bill, he studied at Ben Bards Drama School in Hollywood, California.
In addition to his past formal training in acting, Quinn maintains his training by studying with professionals like Lori Wyman, Dolly Legg and Tom Logan.
Quinn has performed in countless TV commercials, soap operas and films and has also entertained as a singer and stand-up comic portraying the late great Bob Hope.
Stage productions are no stranger to Quinn either. He currently keeps active with the road show, 'Joey and Maria Italian Comedy Wedding.' He portrays the father of the groom.
Working locally is great when Quinn can get it - as actors know what that is like (getting work these days), but Quinn is willing and has, worked out of Ft. Myers, Florida, and even outside the country. Some of his acting locations include - Hollywood, California; Miami, Florida; NYC, New York; Puerto Rico and even Europe.
Quinn has worked along-side many of the acting greats. Among them are: Jeff Goldblum, Cameron Diaz, Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan, just to name a few.
Al Quinn enjoys what he does, or he would not have continued to be an actor all these years - over 50!
Icing on the cake for Quinn, has been being honored in the biz as well. Some of his awards have been for: voiceover acting, best supporing actor, best leading actor, and also an award when he was president of FMPTA (Florida Motion Picture & Television Association) as well as founder and president for UFTA (United Film and Television, Inc). Congrats Al!
From the looks of Al Quinn's credentials, training and experiences, he has been a busy actor in the areas mostly of stage, film and telelvision, and will continue to be active - enjoying each and every role that comes his way.
Quinn's most recent film project was that of the upcoming, in post-production, Light (2010).
