Obama in Cairo: no conciliatory words about oil and gas reserves

The Gaza strip, rich in natural gas resources
The Gaza Strip is rich in offshore natural gas reserves.

On 06.03.2009, Barack Obama announced a new era of U.S./Moslem relations, in Cairo, Egypt, one of the top three recipients of U.S. military aid, receiving about $1.3 billion annually.

He spoke about womens' rights, religious tolerance, Islam's historical gifts to the modern world, terrorism, violent extremism, the Nazi holocaust, nuclear weapons, and the two state solution.

However, he did not mention oil and natural gas in Iraq, Iran, or Sudan, or, the pipeline projects to move Central Asian oil and natural gas through Afghanistan, or the estimated $4 billion worth of natural gas off the Coast of Gaza
