Nissan's 1999 electric charging station, Nismo.
There is very little slowing down Nissan establishing its supremacy in the electric vehicle, EV world.
The gist is that no other company is doing as much as Nissan when it comes to EVs. Not only is it offering a great starter with its electric Leaf, but it also has a comprehensive world around EV life, right down to 24 hours a day live-person help and an eventual wireless charging. Presently, the company is also reaching out across Tennessee, U.S..
EV Charging Stations Across Tennessee. Nissan is working hard to deploy 2,190 electric charging stations in the state by December 2010 in order to facilitate the coming of the Leaf. According to the Electricnick, with the help of ECOtality Inc., Nissan wants to install charging systems in residential areas, as well as in consumer's homes, along with a public networks in Nashville, Chattanooga and Knoxville and on the interstate highways between those cities. To sweeten the deal even more, the 1,000 buyers in Tennessee will get free home chargers installed.
Nissan is wasting no time, as we mentioned earlier and is eager to be seen as the leader in electric cars. Where the company shines is in its overall picture of what needs to happen in order to make an EV a one stop shop. Nissan stands the most chance to be that company.
