As the summer is heating up so is this year’s election season. All around Osceola County you can begin to see the signs of a busy off year election. Political yard signs are going up all over the place; the local political organizations are back up and running. The party clubs are either re-organizing or are more active once again. Hob Nob’s are scheduled and television ads are telling us that this year’s primary and election are going to increase the heat like we feel outside.
The primary election is scheduled for August 24th this year. With Kissimmee City Commission seats, St. Cloud Council seats, Osceola County School Board seats as well as Osceola County commission seats available we can look forward to some exciting races and some familiar names along with the popular new comers to politics making a heated, thrilling environment for the political outlook of our county

Being along the I-4 corridor, some of influence and impact is going to be felt in the state and national elections as well. What will happen this year as we anticipate a more involved off year election cycle than in the past? This area votes from the heart, so who will be the candidate(s) that play the heart strings of our area the best? Who will peak the interest of the typical non voter in off election years to get up and make it to the polls?
